Rated 3 out of 5 by Not so scrubby... I was in the market for a new scrub, after being unable to find my favorite - when I went to the store they said this was their 'scrubbiest'. I tried a bit between my fingers, and it did feel scrubby, so I went ahead and took one home. Wow - was I ever disappointed. The salt granules, which do start out as pretty sturdy, almost immediately dissolve, not giving me any time to scrub down my leg! (which I do with the water turned away, so this is without any water, just the scrub and my hands). In addition, as another reviewer mentioned, it does leave an oily residue and does make my shower floor slippery. I also agree that the smell isn't the greatest, although I actually wouldn't care if it worked! I do wish I had just taken a sample to try in my shower before investing, as it's quite pricey. If you think you are very interested, and you tend to like some serious scrubbing action, do get a sample to make sure before spending on it! Given this is their 'scrubbiest', I guess the body shop is not my spot for scrubs! April 30, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for skin but don't get it on hair This product is luxurious, melts into the skin and leaves you smelling like a sea breeze all day. HOWEVER if you are like me and have long hair, clip it up before using this scrub on your back. After a few showers I noticed the ends of my hair were extremely crispy and it had to be because of the salt in this product. I tried using hydrating masks to fix my hair but it was too late, had to cut off 3 inches due to the dryness! March 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I purchased this on a whim and I am very pleased. This makes my skin feel so soft. I especially like to use this after i shave. It makes my legs feel so incredibly smooth and i find the shave lasts longer as well. I also love that the scent lingers on my skin. This scrub makes me feel like I'm getting a spa treatment right at home. I recommend this to anyone looking for a product that will hydrate and soften skin. March 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by OMG! OMG! I love this product, I can't live without it. A friend recommended this product to me while in the store, the sales lady put some on my hand and washed it off and my lord it was amazing, She offered me a free sample I used it that night and I was in love my body felt like a new born baby, needless to say the next day I returned to the store and made my purchase. I am now hooked to this product I love the way my skin feels so soft. i asked my friends to touch my arms and they are amazed how smooth and soft they feel. I will continue to purchase this product, and will recommend to a friend for sure. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 25, 2016

    Answer:
It's not as sharp as it appears in the picture. It's actually a bit flexible and I used in on my face but I would suggest putting little pressure just so the skin doesn't get irritated at all. Too much force and you can damage the skin on your face but when you do it gently it feels very good.

    Answer:
I would not use it on my face, it's too oily for me.

Instead I would recommend this from TBS:

    Is this a real scrub?

When I make salt scrubs they are basically salt & oil to moisten. I was disappointed when I got my first scrub from The Body Shop only to find it was goo with a wee bit of scrub material thrown in. I'm tempted to buy this, but I'd like to know if it's an actual salt packed scrub that will slough off dead skin in the shower.

    Answer:
Yes, there is salt in it, huge bits, too - per my review, though, they dissolve way too quickly, in my opinion- leaving you no time to actually give these salt bits a go on your skin. I also look for rougher scrubs that will actually slough off dead skin, and this did not, at all, live up to my expectations. As they claim it's their 'scrubbiest', I have decided that the body shop is not my spot for scrubs!

    Answer:
I'm going to say no. This is much less of an exfoliator than other scrubs from TBS. It is very much just sail in oil and very moisturizing.

I really like the pink grapefruit scrub for extra exfoliating, the scent is my favorite. I've used most of their scrubs, and all the ones that are NOT in oil are the best at exfoliating: olive, coconut, brazil nut, moringa, cranberry.
