The Body Shop® difference: Since 1996, we’ve been buying Community Trade cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo Ltd. in Ghana, a co-operative of over 40,000 small-scale farmers. A fair deal means that the farmers can afford to buy the basic necessities for their families, as well as pay for schooling and medicines.

Organic camomile water

Soothes the skin. Is known for its calming benefits. Provides small-scale rural farmers with a fair price, resulting in the revitalization of the local economy and sense of community.

Our trade in camomile oil helps support small farmers. Norfolk Essential Oils (NEO), a cooperative of mainly small scale tenant farmers, provides some of the chamomile oil used in our treatments. Based in a rural area of Norfolk in England, the farmers were facing increasing difficulties earning a livelihood from traditional crops, until in 1997 they diversified into essential oil production. When you buy one of our camomile products, you help keep this going.

Cocoa butter

Is an excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth. Enables the development of community projects such as schools and village wells, in addition to providing small-scale farmers with income to support their families. Learn More

For centuries the women of Ghana have used cocoa butter to moisturize and cool their skin in the African heat. Since 1995, The Body Shop has been buying cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo company in Ghana, a fair trade co-operative with over 30,000 small-scale farmers. The money made by the co-operative enables the development of community projects such as schools and village wells in addition to providing the farmers with income to support their families.

Swirl under running water, sink in and float away.

Use the Blue Bamboo Washcloth to enhance the bathing and cleansing experience.
