The Body Shop® difference: Our Community Trade partner, North Western Bee Products in northwest Zambia, has been providing us with the highest quality organic beeswax and honey since 1991. The beeswax in our Strawberry Born Lippy™ is unique because it is harvested from wild bees living in hives built high in the trees of the remote Miombo woodlands. Beekeepers make the cylindrical hives from the bark of the trees. This traditional method is environmentally sustainable and allows the beekeepers to grow their trade using materials that are freely available and produced at little cost.

Organic beeswax

Moisturizes and helps to condition dry skin, especially on your lips and around the fingernail beds. Acts as a barrier that helps to seal in moisture. Helps to keep product texture consistent when used over time. Plays a part in protecting and preserving the forest as well as providing necessary income for the beekeepers, an increasing number of which are now women.

Our Community Trade beeswax is sourced from the Adamaoua Region of Northern Cameroon, through an organization called Guide d'Espoir (Guide for Hope).

Lanolin

Is one of nature's richest moisturizers. It is readily absorbed by the skin and so provides good protection for rough, dry hands.
