Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this oil I use shea butter and when I'm in a hurry, usually in the morning; I rub this oil on my legs and arms. I haven't used it on my hair yet, but will soon. I have given this oil as a gift and everyone loves it. I have a spare one on hand, but it takes a long time to use. I just love it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Unexpectedly Useful I used to think that body oil wasn't useful, just the kind of products you'll buy if you have too much money at hand. But I was completely wrong! My hair gets really dry when I came to Toronto. I switched shampoos and conditioners to the banana series, and it got a bit better, but the ends were still dry. That's when the store clerk recommended me to this body oil. It has helped me immensely, and I apply it almost daily with 2 to 3 drops at the ends after I dry my hair. The scent smells really good, not too strong and very natural. Love it, and definitely worth the price! October 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE it! I am in love with The Body Shop oils! Since my skin is normally dry, dull & ashy looking I use tons of moisturizer daily. No more! Just a few drops of shea or argon body oil after my shower or bath and my skin is smooth, glowing and beautiful! Love it!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Thumbs up It doesn't have the exact same smell as, say, the body butter or lotion because of the other nut oil fragrances; but it does work and smell great :) This and the satsuma are my favorites from this oil line. June 15, 2015

    Answer:
I love using it for both. I am half Italian, and therefore have oily skin/scalp, but dry ends. I love to goop up at night (I use different oils at different times as well) and the morning shower washes away the grease without drying my skin.

    Answer:
    Hi LeahCoombs,

thank you for your interest in The Body Shop's hydrating Shea Beautifying Oil. This product would be great for stretch marks, but we would also recommend our Cocoa Butter Moisturising Stick. The concentrated cocoa butter helps target rough patches, dry skin and works great for pregnant women who want to prevent stretch marks - we designed it with pregnant women in mind!

    Hope this helps!

    • Marula Oil

We work with the Eudofano Women’s Co-operative in Ondangwa, Northern Namibia, to source our Community Trade marula oil. The marula tree is held to be sacred to the people of Ovamboland, and Namibian women have traditionally used marula oil for generations to smooth and moisturise their skin. Now the 1750 Namibian women of the Eudofano Co-operative are building a business and a future on the ancient wisdom of marula. The oil they produce is cold-pressed to preserve its high quality, and enriches our products with its hydrating and smoothing properties. Learn More →

    • Shea Butter

Our Community Trade shea butter is sourced from northern Ghana, where it has been used for centuries to protect skin from harsh Saharan winds. We work with The Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association to produce the rich shea butter we use in our products. The Body Shop provides the 528 women of the Association with a fair wage, and also pays a premium for the women to invest in community projects. Anita Roddick placed our first order in 1994 after an earlier visit to Ghana where she discovered the natural moisturizing properties of shea butter and the amazing women who produced it.
